![]() ![]() Will you be ok loading the car with cargo, lumber, etc.basically items that will potentially scratch or damage it? An X before kids may be overkill today, but if you plan to have the car for ten years.Įdit: If buying used, you should know that the 2nd row did not always fold flat. Lastly kids grow up FAST and cars get used differently over time so have a time horizon for how long you'll want the car. Remember if you need more space there is a frunk (holds my stroller) and a tow hitch for cargo boxes (though I've heard certain size cargo boxes result in limited or disabled autopilot). I suggest you borrow a stroller and car seat/s then ask your local Tesla store to let you see how it all fits (or rent one via Turo or similar for a few hours). A rear facing seat will never fit in any third row. Slim car seats like Dionos really save space and are built like a tank. With more than one rear facing kid, 6 or 7 seater won't matter as access will be tough. With one kid in the back there is ample space. A large stroller would hamper that (we use an umbrella stroller nowadays), but the rear seat folds down 50-50. I am amazed at how much fits in the false bottom of the trunk. I have taken a few 2+ hr trips with two dogs, wife, and three kids with ease. No one misses the lack of an arm rest towards the interior, but be aware in case that matters to you. The captains chairs are awesome in the 6 seater config's 2nd row. Be aware, the seven seater results in the second row being manually operated (bummer for such a forward thinking car imo). ![]() I did extensive research so here are many other items to consider. We ultimately went with the 6 because it feels much more spacious and luxurious. ![]()
